Hi my name is Hugh Rinehart Jr. I am the owner of Evolution Woodworks. I would like to thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. After 18 years in the high tech electronics industry working as a facilities technician. I grew tired of the corporate environment and was looking for a change. I needed something that I could be passionate about, something that would utilize my unique skills and abilities.


While trying to figure that out. I was always being drawn back to the idea of opening a cabinet & furniture shop. Woodworking was something my Grandfather introduced to me as I was growing up. He was building new kitchen cabinets for my grandmother and asked if I would like to help him with the project. It was a great experience and I remember thinking “wow this is so cool. I really like this.” To see it go from an idea on paper, to milling the parts, assembling all the pieces and finally seeing it installed in the kitchen was quite an experience.


So after a lot of soul searching I decided to start a new career in woodworking. I enrolled at Palomar College and entered there nationally acclaimed Cabinet & Furniture Technology Program. I wanted to learn the art & craft of fine furniture making the correct way. I took many classes over the years and received numerous awards for my projects which were entered in the Palomar College student showcase held at the San Diego County Fair, (formerly known as the Del Mar Fair).


After working for a few local cabinet makers I decided to start Evolution Woodworks. I wanted to start a company that stood out from the others. One that focused not only on quality designs and products but more importantly customer service. Right from our inception it has been our mission statement “to provide fine crafted cabinetry solutions for the home while maintaining the highest level of customer service and satisfaction to each of our valued clients”. In this day and age it seems as if customer service has gone by the wayside. I have encountered it myself as a homeowner working with contractors. I often say to myself I can’t believe these companies are able to stay in business operating like that. That’s why at Evolution Woodworks you are our #1 priority. We strive to make sure you are receiving the personalized service and attention you deserve. We work closely with each client through each stage of the process to ensure your complete satisfaction.
